REQUEST APPOINTMENTWhat to Expect During Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. The aligners are made through a combination of our doctor’s expertise and 3D computer imaging technology.
You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.
It’s important to note that Invisalign works even if you have dental restorations like implants, crowns, or fillings.
You’ll visit your dentist about every six weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. On average, treatment time takes 9-15 months, and patients typically wear anywhere from 18-30 aligners. That said, both of these numbers vary from patient to patient.
