It’s important to note that Zoom!® is safer and more effective than over-the-counter whiteners. Whereas OTC whiteners can take weeks or months to brighten teeth by just a few shades, Zoom!® can brighten them 6-8 shades within a single hour or weekend.
What to Expect During Treatment
The in-office treatment takes a little over an hour. This gives us time for a brief preparation period, after which time we will bleach your teeth. Once this is finished, we then offer a fluoride treatment.
The take-home gel is designed to be worn anywhere from four to eight hours a night, over the course of a weekend.
What to Expect After Treatment
Your teeth may feel sensitive to cold after treatment. This side effect should last no more than three days.
Results are designed to last a lifetime. To keep your teeth bright, we recommend regular flossing and brushing. We also offer Zoom!® Whitening toothpaste and Zoom!® take-home gel, which can help maintain your results.
What Is the Difference Between the Zoom!® Take-Home System and the Zoom!® In-Office System?
There are three significant differences between the take-home and in-office systems:
- Convenience – Some patients prefer the Zoom!® Take-Home System because they want to get their teeth whitened from the comfort of their own home.
- Number of Shades – The Zoom!® In-Office Whitening System whitens teeth two shades lighter than the take-home system.
- Time – The take-home whitening kit requires four-to-eight hours per application, while the office system takes one hour.
